BioCharacter personality: Renji seems a little cold when you first meet him but in truth he is kind hearted and would do anything for Rukia. Renji is a very loyal guy who would fight for his beliefs even if it goes against the system, even going up against his own captain and Rukia's brother, to do what he feels is right. He's also a bit of a goofball, which you find out when he comes to Ichigo's world.
Background: Renji grew up in Inuzuri which is part of South Rukongai 78 which was city made up of troublemakers. He grew up with a gang of friends that were killed off one by one from the harsh life they lived. Rukia was part of that gang and he considered Rukia as his best friend since the day they met. Together they became Shinigami, with Renji's abilities taking him all the way to the position of Lieutenant.
